Grimm Tales – Perusal Score
The entire suite, Grimm Tales, is composed as a drama—a play with music, but with imaginary actors—a soundtrack with no picture. It is primarily a Grade Five piece, often lyrically dark and foreboding, with sudden changes of chaos, magic, violence, and good humor. It is descriptive of its events, a piece that appeals to the imagination, and follows the plot closely. It is an engaging musical adventure.
The suite can be played in its entirety or as a separate movement. Each movement is approximately five to six minutes long.
